Dazaifu · Demon Slayer

Homangu Kamado Shrine, Dazaifu

A shrine more than 1,350 years old at the foot of Mount Homan, which has become a pilgrimage site for Demon Slayer fans. The shrine's name is the same as Tanjiro's family name, it was built as the guardian of the demon gate to the north-east of the Dazaifu government office, and the robes of the mountain monks resemble his haori. Important to know: there is no official link between the shrine and the series and the creator has never confirmed one, this is a fan interpretation. Entry is free, and it rounds off a visit to Dazaifu Tenmangu.
