Ginza Xiaoma
Ginza Xiaoma is a private shop that buys, takes on consignment and sells Hermès bags and items, new and second-hand. It is not a Hermès store and has no connection to the company, and its own website says so too. The main store in Ginza 1-chome opened on 19 November 2024, on floors 1 and 2 of Chuo Building No. 21, and the chain also has branches in Osaka, Hong Kong, Singapore and other cities.
Most of the stock is bags, led by the Birkin, Kelly and Constance, and there are also accessories and clothing. According to the website, the price of the same model varies by condition, year, the accessories that come with it and the market price. Every item goes through an authenticity check by the shop's appraisers.
It is a place for someone who comes to buy or sell a Hermès bag and knows what they are looking for. If you only come to look you can go in, but the prices are collector market prices.
Good to know
- Tax-free shopping in the store is not mentioned on the website, which mentions deducting the tax only when shipping to an address abroad. Ask before you pay, because from 1 November 2026 Japan switches to a refund system: you pay the full price, and the tax is refunded after customs approval at the airport.
- You can hold an item for a short time against a deposit, set according to the item's price. Transfer to another branch only after full payment.
- You can pay by credit card, Alipay, WeChat Pay, bank transfer or cryptocurrency, with a 3 percent fee on crypto.
