COSPA Official Store Akihabara
Cospa is a Japanese company that designs and makes clothing, costumes and official merchandise of anime and game characters, under license from the rights holders. According to the company, it launches more than 2,500 new items a year. Its official shop is on floor 3 of atre Akihabara 1, the shopping building attached to the JR station.
This shop sells two of the company's lines: Cospa, with clothing and goods of characters from many series, and Nijigen Cospa, which specializes in female anime characters. Most of the shelves are T-shirts, hoodies, bags and accessories, from subtle designs with a small logo that you can wear every day to full-print shirts. A T-shirt usually costs ¥3,300, and a shirt with a full color print about ¥4,950.
Good to know
- A JR ticket gate opens straight into atre 1. You can reach the shop without going out to the street, which is handy on a rainy day.
- Full cosplay costumes are not on this shop's brand list. If you come for them, go to G-Store Akiba.
