Kirby Café
Kirby Café in Tokyo is on floor 4 of the East Yard at the Solamachi mall, at the foot of Tokyo Skytree. It is a real restaurant, with plates shaped like characters from Nintendo's game series: a Kirby burger with meat-sauce pasta, a Waddle Dee omelet rice and a Whispy Woods plate. Some dishes are sold with a souvenir plate you take home, at an extra price.
Booking is not mandatory, but it is what gets you a place: those who booked go in first, and those who come without a booking go in only if a table is free, with no guarantee. Since the August 2026 bookings you need an account on the booking site, and each account gets up to three bookings a month per branch. Each booking is up to 8 diners in Tokyo.
There are two more branches: in Osaka on floor 9 of Daimaru Shinsaibashi, and in Fukuoka on the basement floor of the north building of Canal City Hakata. They are separate in bookings and in some dishes. The restaurant is not kosher.
Good to know
- Time is limited to 85 minutes including payment, with no extension. Arrive 10 minutes before your time: if you are more than 10 minutes late you lose the booking.
- At the entrance they check the confirmation email and the booker's ID, so a booking cannot be transferred or sold. The person who booked must come in person.
- Opening an account includes a verification call from the registered number to a special line. The site does not say whether a foreign phone number works, so try weeks before the trip and not on the day bookings open.
- The low-allergen curry is made without eight ingredients: shrimp, crab, walnuts, wheat, buckwheat, egg, milk and peanuts. If you have an allergy, confirm on site.

The cafe's goods shop in the same mall, and you can go in without a booking: bags, pins, magnets and plates, and also food to take away at the Tokyo and Hakata shops. This is the way to get a Kirby souvenir if you did not get a table.
