Flamingo Shimokitazawa
Flamingo is a chain of secondhand clothing shops, with shops in Tokyo, Sendai, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Fukuoka. The company that runs it was founded in October 2004. The opening year of this branch is not stated on the chain's website.
The shop is on the ground floor of the Lisa building, at Kitazawa 2-25-12. According to a Good Luck Trip guide from February 2026, the clothes are imported mainly from the United States and Europe, for men and women, alongside accessories and bags. There is also a house brand, FAFATT, and reworked secondhand clothes.
The neighborhood has four more shops from the same company: Flamingo 2nd (Kitazawa 2-37-2, floors 1 and 2), Flamingo 3rd (2-30-10), Mido (2-26-14) and Florida (2-29-2, basement floor). All have the same opening hours.

Chuka Soba Senmonten Ichiryu Food
The neighborhood's chuka soba ramen shop, with 43 years in the old Kitazawa building. It moved because the building was demolished and reopened on November 17, 2025, with only 11 seats. A large bowl cost ¥1,150 at the time. Not kosher.

The shop has no official name, and "Oishii Curry" (tasty curry) is its nickname. Curry on a pork and chicken broth base with a lot of spices. It moved in September 2025 to a new building on Ichibangai street, and at that time a dish cost ¥1,200 to ¥1,400. When it is busy, the line closes early. Not kosher.

A small espresso house with strict rules, according to an Eatbook guide from May 2026: no photos, no laptops and no lingering. The concentrated cold espresso "Angel Stain" starts at ¥700, in limited quantity and usually only until early afternoon.

Banh Mi Baba Shimokitazawa Food
Banh mi sandwiches and Vietnamese street food such as pho and bun, a cheap option for a meal. On September 1, 2026, it moved about 30 meters from its previous spot and grew from 8 to 24 seats. Since December 2025 there is a banh mi with plant-based egg at ¥700, but the source does not confirm that the whole sandwich is vegan, so it is worth asking. Not kosher.

A complex under the Keio Inokashira Line bridge, right next to the station. Inside are the used clothing hall Toyo Hyakkaten Annex, a Tsutaya bookstore, the cafe Brooklyn Roasting Company, and Thai, Vietnamese, Taiwanese and Korean restaurants. It received a Good Design Award for 2026.
