Sukiyabashi Jiro
Sukiyabashi Jiro is a sushi restaurant on the basement floor of the Tsukamoto Sogyo Building in Ginza 4-chome, near Exit C6 of Ginza Station. You eat an omakase meal there, meaning a series of nigiri that the chef chooses and serves one after another. According to Tabelog it has 23 seats, 10 of them at the counter.
Booking is the hard part. According to the official website you book only by phone, and not through another person: the rule was set after middlemen booked seats and resold them. If you come from abroad you book only through your hotel's concierge, and even then the requested time is not guaranteed. The restaurant asks for photo ID, and anyone not verified may not be let in.
There is no kosher supervision, and the dishes are set by the chef, not by your choice.

- Ask the hotel to check the cancellation policy and the exact price in advance, because they are not published on the website.
- According to Tabelog you can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and Diners), but not by digital payment or QR code.
- The Roppongi Hills branch is open for lunch 11:30-14:00 and dinner 17:00-21:00, closed on Wednesdays, and booking is by phone at 03-5413-6626.
